Aggregates and topsoil delivered: what to expect

Much of the rubble and soil we collect is processed back into useful materials. Concrete and brick are crushed and screened into recycled hardcore, and clean soil is screened into topsoil. Buying recycled aggregates costs less than quarried materials and keeps waste out of landfill.

We deliver aggregates across Ipswich to builders, landscapers and homeowners. A grab lorry can place loose material exactly where you need it, over walls and fences, and can often collect your waste on the same visit. For smaller jobs, bulk bags can be dropped on a driveway.

If you are building a patio, driveway, path, shed base or extension, the sub-base is usually the biggest volume of material. Recycled Type 1 is ideal for this and compacts to a firm, stable base.

Ordering aggregates

Working out how much you need

Multiply length by width by depth in metres to get cubic metres. Hardcore and sand weigh around 1.6 to 2 tonnes per cubic metre; topsoil a little less. Order slightly extra for compaction and levelling.

Delivery by grab

Our grab arm can place material up to about 6 metres from the lorry, so it can go straight into a back garden or onto a sub-base.

Bulk bags

Bags of around one tonne are ideal when you only need a small amount, or when there is no room for a loose load.

Combining with collection

If you are digging out and filling back in, we can remove spoil and deliver new material on the same visit, saving a journey.
